Due to large-scale blizzard and dramatic temperature drop, the power demand has greatly increased in Anhui Province. It is estimated that the power consumption peak might reach 7.8 million kilowatts this winter, and there might be periodic power shortage anytime though there is balanced power demand and supply at present. Anhui Electric Power Corporation has responded actively to the possible situation of power shortage and made emergency plan to ensure the safe and stable functioning of Anhui’s power grids.
