A conference was held by Anhui’s Federation of Women on March 8 to commemorate the International Working Women's Day and award some advanced working women. Anhui leaders Wang Mingfang, Gao Fuming, Xu Liquan and Zhao Peigen attended the conference. Vice secretary of CPC Anhui committee Wang Mingfang stressed that Anhui women need to find their right position and devote ability and wisdom to the construction of a harmonious society. 100 prominent working women from ten provincial institutions as well as some advanced organizations were awarded at the conference.
