On April 8, sources from a coordination meeting of Wuhu Water-Based Rescue Center say, a temporary regulation on search and rescue of the Wuhu section of mainstream Yangtse River will soon be released, meanwhile an alarm hotline of 12395 will open to public to deal with water-based emergencies. As stipulated in the regulation, the rescue center is the headquarters of Wuhu’s salvage actions, and various departments concerned should follow the instructions of the center at any moment and launch compulsory rescues.
